We celebrated the Bengali New Year with joy and generosity! Thanks to the invaluable support of our Rotary Club of Salt Lake Silicon Valley members, we were able to bring smiles to the Mahisbatan slum area. We distributed sarees, kurtas, and pajamas, along with a delightful assortment of sweets, chocolates, cakes, and biscuits. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed and joined us in spreading warmth and joy in the community!

Electroslides Technical Poster competition 09 Mar 2024

The Electroslides Technical Poster competition, held on 9th-10th March, was a resounding success, organized by the Rotary Club of Salt Lake Silicon Valley in collaboration with the Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata. With over 80 captivating posters on display, participants showcased their technical prowess and creativity, making it a vibrant and insightful event. The competition provided a platform for budding engineers to exhibit their innovative ideas and solutions.

Empowering school students with IoT based sensor Data: Outreach Workshop at IEM Public School: 31 Aug 2023

Rotary Club of Salt Lake Silicon Valley in association with IEEE Women in Engineering-WIE, Kolkata Section had organized Workshop on 31st August 2023 at IEM Public school Campus, salt lake. This workshop aims to introduce school students from class 5 to 10 to the world of data and its applications in combating climate change. The program includes interesting talks on data generation, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, hands-on activities, and Q&A sessions designed to help the students understand the basics of data collection and analysis through Internet of Things sensors, visualization and communication, and how to apply data to combat climate change. 102 students participated in this program.

Distribution of Sports equipment on 28 Aug 2023

Rotary Club of Salt Lake Silicon Valley had distributed sports equipment at Kolkata Orphanage on 28th August 2023. Sports equipment consist of football, cricket bat, wickets, badminton racket etc. 80 Students got benefitted from this initiative.

Description: We visited one place, Manbazar near Purulia where mainly people underprivileged live in abject poverty. 

We provided exercise books, pencil, pen, sharpner etc. to 60 little child, mainly reading in class 2 and class 3.

Beneficiary Description: 130 children, aged 6-18 years, 80 boys and 50 girls.

We gifted them raincoats and umbrellas to each one of them.
